We are seeking a dynamic and proactive Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to join our People Team. Reporting directly to the Director of People, this role will play a critical part in supporting our Engineering, Product, and Design organization and driving key HR initiatives across the business.
The ideal candidate will be passionate about fostering a positive employee experience, partnering with managers to develop their teams, and ensuring operational excellence in HR practices.
On a typical day, you will...
Managerial Support:
- Partner with Managers to provide guidance on people management, team dynamics, and performance development.
- Conduct regular check-ins with leaders to identify and address team needs and challenges.
- Act as a trusted advisor for managers, helping them navigate organizational changes, talent discussions, and employee relations.
Learning & Development (L&D):
- Support the implementation of Learning and Development initiatives within the Engineering organization.
- Collaborate with the Director of People to identify skill gaps and propose targeted training and development programs.
- Facilitate workshops or training sessions for ICs and managers, as needed.
Employee Experience & Engagement:
- Conduct exit interviews, analyze trends, and provide actionable insights to improve retention and engagement.
- Drive initiatives to foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture within the Engineering team.
- Support team engagement activities in collaboration with the Workplace Experience team.
Operational HRBP Tasks:
- Provide day-to-day HR support, including guidance on policies, procedures, and employee relations matters.
- Assist in the implementation of performance review cycles and career progression frameworks.
- Support workforce planning, including organizational design, succession planning, and headcount forecasting.
Data and Insights:
- Leverage people analytics to identify trends and provide data-driven recommendations to managers and leadership.
- Monitor key HR metrics and ensure timely reporting to the Director of People.
Project Ownership:
- Take ownership of specific HR projects or initiatives, such as diversity and inclusion programs or wellbeing initiatives.
- Drive continuous improvement in HR processes and tools to enhance efficiency and employee experience.
About You
- Proven experience as an HRBP or in a similar HR role, ideally within a fast-paced, global, or technology-driven environment.
- Strong knowledge of HR best practices, including employee relations, performance management, and L&D.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships across all levels of the organization.
- Data-driven mindset with experience in using analytics to inform decision-making.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a dynamic environment.
- Familiarity with global HR practices and working across different geographies is a plus.

Executive team

Hubert Palan, Founder & CEO
Hubert is the founder and CEO of Productboard. Driven by a passion for building truly excellent products, he started the company back in 2015 when he saw a hole in the market for a dedicated product management platform. Prior to Productboard, Hubert was VP of Product Management at GoodData. Passionate about sharing his knowledge and experience, Hubert mentors and advises startups and judges teams at entrepreneurship competitions. He frequently speaks at his two alma maters – the University of California, Berkeley, where he got his MBA and certificate in Entrepreneurship, and the Czech Technical University, where he received an MSc. in Computer Science. In a past life, Hubert worked in management consulting. Fun fact: he once trained 20 national park managers in Vietnam on ecotourism marketing. Originally from the Czech Republic, Hubert now lives in the San Francisco Bay area with his wife, Jenna, and their two young sons, Hubert V and Nicholas.

Cris Domingo, VP of People, Culture, and Talent
Cris is an experienced world-class leader. Cris graduated with a degree in Marketing and Economics from Karachi University. She brings over a decade of HR and Talent Acquisition leadership experience from previous roles at Sumo Logic, Platfora, Monster Inc., and Yoh.
While at Sumo Logic, Cris successfully scaled the company from ~200 to over 950 employees globally across North America, APAC, and EMEA regions, leading Talent Acquisition from pre-IPO to a successful IPO in September 2020.

Vinay Ramasundaram, VP of Engineering
Vinay brings a wealth of experience from SurveyMonkey, Microsoft, and DocuSign — companies known for delivering excellent products at enterprise scale.
He leads our engineering teams as we double down on innovation for customers. With his deep expertise in platform architecture, scalable systems, and achieving enterprise scale, Vinay will spearhead our ambitious product roadmap, including exciting new AI features designed to help enterprise product leaders bring the right products to market faster.

Sebastien Giroux, CFO
Sebastien Giroux is a seasoned finance executive with experience in a wide range of environments, including start-ups and Fortune 500s, M&A integrations, IPOs, and turnarounds. He has experience in building financial foundations, teams, and processes for high-growth companies in the technology industry. He has a proven record of creating and executing a strategic vision that unifies Finance efforts with GTM, Operations, Product, and other areas to drive business success. Giroux was most recently Chief Financial Officer at Collibra and previously held strategic financial management positions at Atlassian, RingCentral, and IBM.

Wyatt Tucker, VP of Marketing
Wyatt Tucker is our VP of Marketing at Productboard. Prior to this, Wyatt held positions such as Head of Marketing Operations and Strategy at Miro, Director of Growth Operations at Mixpanel, and Head of Marketing Operations at various companies. Wyatt has a Bachelor's degree in Graphic Communication from California Polytechnic State University.

Brian Lederman, CRO
With over a decade at Salesforce, Brian played a key role in scaling one of SaaS’s most successful GTM engines. Most recently, he built Coda’s GTM from the ground up, landing enterprise giants and helping drive their successful acquisition by Grammarly. Now, he’s bringing his expertise to propel Productboard’s next phase of growth.
